MODERN MACHINERY TO SPEED UP THE COMPLETION OF POLAVARAM PROJECT

Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu said that modern machinery and equipment are going to be used to speed up the works on the Polavaram Irrigation Project. The CM is very much determined to complete this project by 2018.

 

Speaking with the media at the Polavaram Project site in Ramayyapeta, Polavaram Mandal of West Godavari district, CM stated that the Central Government has been extremely supportive in completing the project and conveyed gratitude to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for agreeing to provide central for the entire project.
“Our dream for four and half decades will now come true with the co-operation of the BJP Government”, he said.

 

The CM also said that he would review the progress of work online every monday through the closed circuit cameras affixed at the project site and visit project site at Ramayyapeta every third monday of the month. Mr. Naidu has visited the site 13 times in the last 2 years.

Later, the CM went ahead to inaugurate a new mining excavator that is worth Rs. 70 crore at the Polavaram project site. He also inaugurated six dumpers that were bought at the cost of Rs. 20 crore.
