Hyderabad Metro is all set to start operating from June this year. The minister for state for Information Technology and Municipality, Mr. Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao said in a statement on Wednesday. He also added saying the government is working hard to finish the first phase by June.
The first phase, starting from Nagole, is a 20 kilometer line.
Later, in the second phase of the Hyderabad Metro Rail project, 83 kilometers of metro lines are to be constructed.
He further added about cleaning and beautifying the Hussain Sagar and said “We are in talks with a Norwegian firm and hopefully, it will be done soon.” He is also reported to have said he wants to turn Hyderabad into a world-class city like Istanbul.
In addition to the Metro, existing MMTS service is also under plans of expansion.
The Hyderabad Metro rail will start from June 2.
