FREE ENTRY AT ALL TOURIST SPOTS IN VIZAG FOR WORLD TOURISM DAY

The City of Visakhapatnam is truly a natural marvel of beauty and serenity. Marking the World Tourism Day on Tuesday, all the major tourist destinations in the city are going to allow tourists in without any entry fee. These destinations include Zoo Park, Kambalakonda, VUDA park, Kailasagiri, Submarine museum, Visakha Museum, Thotlakonda will be free for entry, announced the Visakhapatnam Tourism department. Meanwhile, the hoteliers association of Visakhapatnam has also decided to give 10 per cent discounts in all the star hotels in the city. On September 27, cultural programmes would be conducted by the authorities, at 5 pm, at the Viswapriya Function Hall on the Beach Road.

Cultural programmes, food stalls, handicraft stalls, photo-exhibition will be special tourist attractions, said the officials. The cultural programmes include Dhimsa dance performance by Parasuram’s team from Araku, and singing performance by city-based singers Ravindra, Kumari, Vizag super kids Neha, Akshay, Soumya and others. The district administration has arranged ramps of about two and half km for physically challenged at Beach road.
