The British High Commissioner in India, Dominic Asquith, met the Chief Minister Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu at his residence and gave a presentation on Britain investment opportunities in the state.
He said that Britain will offer its extensive expertise on public transportation; in addition to extending cooperation on skill development, medical services, IT and infrastructure development in the state and will also encourage industrialists in the country to invest in Andhra Pradesh.
To this, Mr. Naidu immediately agreed and said the state government is ready to allot land for the building of a world class hospital in Amaravati and will also extend any cooperation necessary.
Later, a three member delegation came from Austria and met Mr. Naidu to talk about the development of agriculture and water purification in the state.
Georg Zehetner, the Austrian minister who led the delegation, spoke about the different ways in which Austrian technology and innovations can be utilised in the state in Agriculture, Tourism, Water Purification, Irrigation and a lot more. The delegation also said that there are several investors in Austria who are willing to invest in Andhra Pradesh.
