Apple to Start a Development Facility in Hyderabad
From Microsoft to Facebook to Amazon to Google; Hyderabad has it all and now; the technology giant Apple is all set to set up a new technology development facility in the city. Apple Hyderabad aims to employ over 4500 people.
Apple’s high level officials have been negotiating about this with the Telangana Government. The government confirmed the news on Wednesday.
According to reports; Apple will start an innovation centre in June this year and is in talks to lease about 2.5 lakh square feet of office space at Tishman Speyer at Gachibowli for this purpose.
Having had plans of setting up a technology centre outside USA for quite some time now and having reviewed some places in Europe and Asia; Apple has zeroed down on Hyderabad.
Apple which was founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne on April 1, 1976 and headquartered in Cupertino in California is the world’s largest IT company by revenue and the world’s second-largest mobile phone manufacturer.
