Sattenapalli assembly constituency headed by AP Assembly speaker Dr.Kodela Siva Prasad has now toilets in every house. A first assembly constituency in India to achieve this. Dr.Siva Prasad took up “Swachh Bharat” mission and made priorities for his constituency naming it Swachh Sattenapalli. The first one as part of the mission was to build toilets for every home.
A record number of 20,000 toilets were built across the constituency in just 3 months of the launch of program making it the Model Constituency for the nation. These toilets put an end to open defecation of 1 lakh people keeping the constituency clean. CM Chandrababu Naidu appreciated the work of Speaker and asked the MLAs to take him as an inspiration to keep their constituencies clean to create “Swachh Andhra”.
